Overview of role
The Advisory and Programme Delivery division (APD) delivers consultancy services to projects ranging in scale and complexity from £million’s to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting, education, and healthcare management.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate the following:
1. Take ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project
2. Lead teams of professionals delivering major projects or portfolios of smaller projects
3. Manage senior level customer relationships
4. Deliver complex technical projects within a highly regulated industry
5. Prepare and maintain schedules, including dependencies and resources
6. Identify and monitor project risks and opportunities
7. Implement quality management processes for project activities and outputs
8. Manage stakeholders, considering their levels of influence and particular interests
9. Establish and maintain project governance reviews
10. Develop and manage teams
What you will contribute to the team:
1. Relevant project management and delivery experience
2. Demonstrable knowledge and application of project management methodologies
3. Strong financial awareness, commercial acumen, and analytical skills
4. Comfortable working as a consultant within a client environment
5. Relationship building skills – ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders
6. Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills
7. Strong analytical thinking and research skills
8. Well-developed planning and organizational skills
9. Essential soft skills include self-motivation, taking initiative, leadership, adaptability, effective listening, collaboration, influence, and insightfulness
10. Computer literacy in Microsoft applications
Be responsible for the project programme. Work with multidisciplinary delivery teams to update the programme as required.
Qualifications:
1. Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
2. APM PMQ level qualified or equivalent Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM)
3. Proven track record of delivering Infrastructure projects in transmission, renewables, distribution, and/or generation sector
4. Good leadership and people management skills
5. Flexibility and adaptability to respond rapidly to unexpected events
6. Ability to travel to Dublin, Ireland up to 3 times a month
7. Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle
8. Excellent IT skills particularly MS Excel/Word/Project and PowerPoint
9. Ability to produce and review technical reports for project teams and clients
