Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a growing company based in Selby, North Yorkshire who are looking for a Logistics Planning Coordinator to join their team.
The Role
The Logistics Planning Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain with responsibility for providing a comprehensive logistics plan for the Supply Chain Department. You will also work very closely with our Customer Service Team.
Duties
Preparing a robust weekly logistics plan in a timely and cost-effective manner. Working closely with the Production Team and Head of Supply Chain to manage material flow in/out. Provide leadership of day-to-day planning issues Managing the Logistics Scheduling Team Customer and plant liaison to help plan the weekly requirements and ensure optimum efficiency of the site. Managing stock levels using IT systems and digital devices Working with all other internal departments to effectively handle complaints, events, non-conformance, ensuring support plans are in place to maintain long-term supplier/customer relationships. Monitoring quality control and keeping warehouse capacity at optimal levels Supporting implementation and development of systems to help continuous improvement throughout the logistics operation. Promoting and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and offering support and assistance in your role as a logistics team member. Ensuring all your appraisal paperwork is completed in accordance with guidelines and that you maintain personal responsibility for your own personal development, including any continuous professional development your role demands. Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Previous experience in similar role/logistics industry essential Proven track record of managing high volume workload in a logical and organised manner People/team management experience highly desirable Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners. Excellent attention to detail / passion for data analysis and statistics Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications Ability to work to deadlines Previous experience on SAP advantageous but not essential Benefits
