About the role:
We’re proud to offer nearly 200 products in our Love Local range which includes tasty treats from our very own Gadsbys Bakery in Southwell. Gadsbys has been kneading, mixing and baking for over 50 years! From bread rolls to Bakewell tarts, all our delicious products are made with passion and pride. Our hardworking team work closely together to ensure that our quality products taste amazing, are made with skill and delivered fresh for our regular customers.
As a Bakery Assistant you will be at the heart of the action, working closely with the other teams in the bakery to get the high-quality products you bake ready and delivered to our customers. From preparing the raw ingredients through to adding those final finishing touches, your duties will include:
* Preparing, baking and presenting a variety of products in our range to the high standard of quality that keeps our customers coming back for more.
* Working safely as part of the effective and efficient production team to hit targets and follow schedules.
* Maintaining our high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery and assist with any housekeeping required.
Please be aware that this role includes operating machinery and working in the vicinity of very hot bakery ovens, so to apply you must be aged 18 years or over.
About You:

* Can work effectively and efficiently as part of a diverse team, communicating well with others. Someone who is eager to build relationships with colleagues to add to the friendly team spirit in our bakery, celebrating success and encouraging development.
The production team at Gadsbys are hardworking and efficient, so it’s important to note that this role works in a fast-paced environment which can be demanding at times. Our Bakery Assistants often perform tasks involving heavy lifting and twisting, you’ll need to be comfortable making these repetitive movements.
