Job Title: Area Manager – Mental Health Services Maternity Cover Location: Norfolk Salary: £46,530 - Plus Car Allowance £3,800 Employment Type: Full time, Permanent Reporting to: Regional Manager Application Deadline: Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to lead, manage, and oversee our mental health and learning disability services across Norfolk and Suffolk, This is a key leadership role where you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and developing a team of service managers and staff. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and improving mental health services to meet the needs of our clients and align with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Service Oversight: Oversee multiple mental health services, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and deliver exceptional care tailored to the needs of individuals. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to service managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development. Operational Management: Ensure effective day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, performance management, and compliance with policies and procedures. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic development of mental health services, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of services, implementing improvement plans to meet and exceed regulatory and organizational standards. Budget Management: Oversee service budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest standards of care. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including local authorities, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies. Compliance: Ensure all services operate in compliance with relevant legislation, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations. Safeguarding: Act as a key point of contact for safeguarding, ensuring all incidents are managed effectively and in line with organizational policies. Key Skills & Requirements: Qualifications: A level PBS or commitment to undertake Level 5 Health and Social Care Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, or a related field is desirable. Management qualifications or equivalent experience in a leadership role. Experience: Proven experience in managing multiple services within the mental health or social care sector. Strong understanding of mental health issues and the challenges faced by individuals accessing support services. Demonstrated success in managing budgets, teams, and service performance. Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act and safeguarding policies. Other Requirements: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region. Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
