Due to continued sustainable growth within the Rosyth depot of IMES, we are now seeking to employ a Lifting Equipment & NDT Inspection Technician to add to the team. Immediate start available for the correct candidate.
Your main role will be (but not limited to), supporting the continued growth of the depot by servicing our customers’ needs locally, and across Scotland & the UK, as well as advancing less experienced technicians' development as well as your own.

Key Requirements:
1. Applicants must be located close to the depot (FIFE and close surrounding area) and eligible to work in the UK.
2. LEEA qualifications required, minimum 2 or 3 LEEA qualifications. (LEEA or equivalent industry qualifications will also be considered).
3. Lifting equipment experience extremely desirable, but not essential.
4. Carry out thorough examination and load testing of lifting equipment and accessories in line with Company procedures on clients’ equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and report on condition in accordance with LEEA / LOLER regulations.
5. Repair and refurbishment of lifting equipment in accordance with Company and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures and requirements.
6. Demonstrable experience in statutory LOLER inspections.
7. Carry out LOLER and PUWER audits as requested by the client.
8. Carry out NDT inspections on various customer components.
9. Carry out and assist with structural inspections when requested.
10. Provide accurate and timely written reports.
11. Carry out risk assessment and adhere to legal requirements.
12. Notify supervisors and clients, as appropriate, of defects or problems found during inspection and identify options for correcting these. Discuss inspection results with supervisors or clients to develop corrective actions.
13. Provide safety information and recommend compliance procedures.
14. Attend project pre/de-mobilisation meetings and attend Company/Client meetings, as required, and liaise with Client as required.
15. Mechanical or electrical experience on cranes an advantage.
16. Must be customer-focused with the desire to solve their lifting problems.
17. NDT qualifications desirable but not essential (MPI, DPI, UT OR ECI).
18. Able to work as part of a team and support colleagues.
19. Mentor and direct less experienced employees in accordance with Company procedures. Oversee examinations/tests conducted by less experienced colleagues. Assess and verify experience and competence of less experienced team members.
20. Proven ability to carry out tasks within authorisations.
21. Strong health and safety awareness.
22. Driving license and valid passport required.
