The multi award-winning GHFT BI Team are delighted to invite applications for the position of Deputy Head of Business Intelligence for Analytics & Insight.
This is an exciting post, and we are looking for a pro-active and forward-thinking individual with strong health analytics experience to join the BI Senior Manager structure to help ensure the team deliver first class intelligence and insight to the wider organisation.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about health analytics and leading a team of extremely talented analysts. A large part of this role will be helping to develop these analysts to their fullest potential, which in turn will help the team go from strength to strength in terms of analytical output to the wider Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the leadership of the Divisional BI Analyst teams. The role will develop analytics to provide forward planning processes, ensure information is interpreted intelligently and used to make informed operation and strategic decisions that improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Candidates will need a background in Health Analytics as well as experience of working in a BI function in a complex and changing organisation. They will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable the developments within the team to be fully realised, ensuring staff have the necessary support and drive to maximise results. They will also need to be able to work collaboratively and innovatively, coming up with unique solutions to complex problems.

Our BI Team aims to use data and analytics to make a real difference to the healthcare of the Gloucestershire population. It is an exciting time within the department with new developments including advancements in Data Science & AI, development of Tableau and the reporting platform, a new data warehouse, expansion of Population Health Management, and the continued implementation of a new EPR system. These developments will continue to make the team pivotal to the health analytics landscape in Gloucestershire.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Demonstrate ability to think strategically and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to influence and ensure decisions are made on an informed basis.
* Expert level of skill in information analysis, including the ability to prepare high quality written reports turning data into information.
* Demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to motivate staff while ensuring that Trust objectives are met, together with staff personal and professional development needs.
* Excellent budgetary skills.
* Demonstrate experience of NHS information management and analytics.
* Extensive experience working in Information Management.
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of NHS data, financial regime, and NHS performance targets.
* Demonstrate good SQL and Excel skills or aptitude.
* Excellent project management and organisational skills.
