We are recruiting for a new Catering Manager to start when school returns in January. As this is working in a school, a DBS check will be required, so you must be willing to do this.
Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week, during school hours.
Duties including but not limited to:
* Responsible for kitchen management, which includes management of other staff, ordering, stock control, and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
* Prepare, cook, and serve school meals to children during their break and lunch time, maintaining good stock levels and providing a choice for children throughout service.
* Involved in menu planning for the week ahead, ensuring dietary requirements are met while providing choices for the pupils.
Experience:
* Kitchen or catering management experience from a similar setting is required.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Ability to work under pressure, as children have a limited time to eat their food, requiring quick service.
* Hold food hygiene certifications.
* Ability to answer questions on food hygiene and food safety within the kitchen.
* Catering or kitchen management experience.
* Effective communication with suppliers.
