Stafford Borough Council and Cannock Chase Council both have improvement programmes to create and maintain good quality outdoor spaces for sports, recreation, socialising and the community. The primary role of Project Managers is to ensure that these sites are maintained and refurbished to a high standard, to be fully inclusive and encourage active participation whilst also meeting the needs of the local community. There is also a responsibility for the successful delivery of the capital parks refurbishment programmes as well as supporting on the delivery of other outdoor projects and programmes. The role of the Capital Projects Administrator will be to provide support to the Project Managers at Cannock Chase Council and Stafford Borough Council with matters relating to the design, management and improvement of the Borough and District’s Landscapes, Parks and play areas.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated assistant with experience in arranging meetings, taking notes during meetings, and preparing minutes and agendas. As well as working within strict budgets and financial systems with good practical planning and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be competent in the use of various IT packages including but not limited to Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Emails, and PowerPoint.
In addition, you should have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively face to face and by telephone, demonstrating courtesy and tact in dealing with the general public. The ability to attend site inspections / visits and maintain records are also essential requirements of the role.
Candidates will ideally have an understanding of the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM Regs) as well as general Health and Safety legislation. Possession of a valid full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement.
The post will include occasional meetings and events outside of office hours.
