Calibre Search are working with one of the leading names in the field of Surface Water Management (SWM) who are shaping the dialogue within the UK and internationally in how drainage should become integrated part of green blue infrastructure and masterplanning. Their collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management on major projects that develops cutting edge digital services to its clients. Their wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways / rail authorities, and developers.

From enhancing our beautiful rivers and urban landscapes to building sustainable cities in the harshest environments - their Networks & Drainage Solutions (N&DS) team is at the forefront.
Due to continued framework successes, they are looking to strengthen their Water Team with an Associate Director based in their Derby office. In this role you'll play a vital role in every aspect of business development and water engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
The purpose of this role is to own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. You will define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals and successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
As a Chartered Civil Engineer you will have experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and demonstrate a knowledge in water and wastewater treatment, hydraulics, storage, supply and collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices. Working closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions, you will grow, develop and manage water engineering capability within the practice and set quality assurance standards in design
