As part of a team of 30 colleagues providing accountancy and business services, we are looking for a multi-skilled Accounts & Tax Apprentice to join and support our ever-growing Teams. This role will work on a varied portfolio of clients including high net worth individuals, owner managed businesses, as well as corporate companies. Training to be provided: Level 2 Finance/Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 1 day per week at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach. About the role: The Accounts and Tax Assistant Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties: Preparation of self-assessment personal tax returns and related tax calculations for individuals and partnerships, across a wide client base for review by a senior member of staff Correspondence with clients, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and third parties as required Preparation and completion of income and expenditure annual accounts for our self-employed clients, for review by a senior member of staff Support and preparation of accounts Provide support to senior members of staff with ad hoc tax advisory projects, primarily across a variety of private client and owner managed business tax issues Provide support in dealing with telephone calls, attendance at client meetings, including taking notes, where required Dealing with day-to-day client and office administration What are the career prospects at Alliott Wingham?
