Arvato UK Healthcare is seeking an accomplished Business Development Director to spearhead growth within the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries across the UK and Europe.

The Role
As a Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and forging strategic partnerships in the healthcare supply chain landscape. Your responsibilities will include:
Business Acquisition & Growth:
* Identify and secure new business opportunities, focusing on integrated order-to-cash and field inventory solutions for medical device and diagnostics manufacturers.
* Develop bespoke, end-to-end supply chain solutions, including warehousing, distribution to hospitals and labs, stock consignment/VMI, and financial services.
Strategic Solution Development:
* Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, solution design, and logistics engineering) to craft competitive, client-specific proposals.
* Leverage market insights, industry trends, and competitor intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
Client & Market Leadership:
* Lead target market analysis and manage global account plans using CRM tools.Represent Arvato in the market, fostering long-term partnerships and enhancing the company’s reputation for excellence.
* Coordinate sales activities across regions (UK, EU, and US), ensuring alignment on global strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
Industry Expertise:
* In-depth knowledge of logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, and order-to-cash supply chain management.
* Proven experience in the Medical Devices & IVD sector, with a strong network of decision-makers in the industry.
Educational Background:
* Bachelor’s degree (required); specialized qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Commercial, or Medical-related fields (preferred).
Professional Experience:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in solution selling and business development within the logistics/supply chain management industry.
* At least 3 years’ experience in sales and bid management for Medical Devices businesses.
Key Skills:
* Strong business acumen, networking, and client relationship management skills.
* Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).
* Proficiency in project management and CRM systems.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
