SEMH Learning Support Assistant - ASAP - Full time Do you have experience working with children/young people with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) difficulties or PTSD? Prospero Teaching are supporting an alternative provision near Blackburn who are looking for a committed individual to join the team on a full time basis. You will be supporting students on a 121 or small group basis and it is essential that you have a valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle to be considered for this role. You must also be available full time, part time applicants will not be considered by the client. The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the current academic year. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Blackburn Position - Learning Support Assistant Start Date - ASAPEnd Date - July 25 Full time Hours - 8:30am - 4pm The Minimum Rate of Pay - £85 per day EXPERIENCE Relevant experience in a school or similar setting. Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn. TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent. Commitment to all CPD offered.
