Responsibilities:
1. Completion of end to end forwarding activities as the individual role requires
2. Follow strict and time sensitive SOPs/KPIs to ensure compliance
3. Work closely with internal and external customers
4. Focus on customer service
5. Use of Next Gen/MS office as requested
6. Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required timeframe
7. Month end department compliance
8. Customs Entries
9. Cost control
10. Assist senior forwarders, Supervisor and line manager where required
11. Ensure all reports including internal and customer specific are completed within the deadline
12. Resolve queries from customers and suppliers
13. Ensure Best Practice models are adopted
14. Work closely with the Operations manager for Internal and external rates reviews.
15. Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships
16. To take part in customer reviews when required to build up visibility and relationships with customers.
17. Assist sales and management with customer development
18. Maintain clean desk policy
19. Operate within companies QA system
20. Any other tasks as directed by their Supervisor or line manager
Experience/Skills Required:
1. Thorough understanding of customer needs
2. Knowledge and experience in the international transportation and logistics industry, in export Air, Sea or Road operations.
3. A knowledge and understanding of financials and impact on business
4. A Good knowledge of IT systems and processes used in the transport sector
5. Fluent in English, local language and any other languages required for smooth operation of business
