Job Description:
We are searching for an experienced Restructuring Advisory Associate - MVL. Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Overall job purpose: An exciting opportunity to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal members voluntary liquidation assignments with the Restructuring National Members Voluntary Liquidation team. You will assist in the delivery of orderly wind downs, corporate reorganisation assignments and work on members voluntary liquidation appointments across a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring that clients and other interested parties receive a quality service in all respects.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory obligations, confirming arrangements with the client, company, or appointer, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
2. Work closely alongside other team members to plan and execute assignments, managing appropriate cases as required, and providing training and support to junior staff within the team.
3. Progress a Members Voluntary Liquidation from commencement to closure and assist with the completion and approval of engagement letters and ancillary documents.
4. Complete KPIs for Manager and Partner approval and ensure assigned diary lines are completed within the deadline.
5. Input data onto internal systems, manage general case administration including raising bills, and monitor profitability and recoverability of work in progress.
6. Assist with client take on procedures and timely completion of CEAP.
7. Liaise with shareholders, directors and other interested parties throughout any assignment, practicing excellent client service principles at all times.
8. Attend staff meetings and training as required.
9. Maintain an awareness and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm, reporting any concerns to the Health and Safety Representative.
10. Carry out any other duties as requested by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
Personal and professional qualities:
1. Previous experience in client handling.
2. Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Insolvency in a similar role and CPI qualified would be an advantage, but not a pre-requisite as full training will be given.
3. Strong organisational and time management skills, demonstrating a strong commercial outlook.
4. Proven communication skills due to internal and external client contact.
5. Commitment to high quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
6. Interest in promoting the national service line both internally and externally.
