Base Pay Range
Location: Coventry
Holiday: 25 days basic + Bank Holidays
* Attendance allowance: £1,000 per annum, paid monthly (after successful probation period)
Latham & Bond HR are recruiting for our client, a well-established business in Coventry, seeking a motivated HSE Advisor to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about driving health, safety, and environmental (HSE) improvements across the company. Key Responsibilities
* Maintain HSE processes and documentation, including risk assessments, machinery checks, alarm testing, COSHH assessments, and hazard/accident reporting.
* Support the HSE Committee and actively contribute to meetings and initiatives.
* Organise and conduct regular audits on Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects.
* Plan and deliver Health, Safety, and Environmental training and inductions.
* Respond to H&S and Environmental issues, including assessing potential hazards and investigating accidents.
* Manage contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and issuing permits.
* Advise Site Managers and employees on Health and Safety matters.
* Conduct internal audits and work with the wider HSE team to develop action plans for improvement.
* Stay up to date with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and industry standards.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSE across the business.
Skills and Attributes
* Strong enthusiasm for HSE and ability to promote best practices in the workplace.
* IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Professional and confident approach, with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Strong interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with employees at all levels and external suppliers.
* Good understanding of customer deliverables and operational requirements.
