Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for an Outstanding mainstream Primary school in Rossendale to provide support for SEN students across school.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in students' lives and thrives in a supportive educational environment. The role is required for 5 days per week between 08:30 - 15:30.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students, ensuring their educational and social development.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of individual learning activities.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the student's progress.
- Implement strategies to support the student's learning and engagement.
- Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.
- Adapt to the student's needs and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
- TA2 qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in providing support within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
- A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding practices.
