We are working with a local authority who are looking for an experienced SEND Data Quality Officer to support with manually cleansing the data in use on the council’s education management systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with the project team and service officers to manually cleanse the data in use on the council’s education systems. This will involve rectifying errors, matching tasks, and contacting officers and educational establishments to clarify details.
Location: Southwest based Local Authority
Set-up: Hybrid / Remote
Rate: £250/day, via umbrella inside IR35
Duration: Initially 1-month
Hours: Full-time position
Responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking manual cleansing of the EYES and EHM education management systems. This will involve checking records to ascertain their accuracy, adding in missing details and removing system ‘conflicts’.
2. Engaging with service officers to assess and determine the accuracy of the records of the learners they case manage.
3. Escalating complex errors to the project team for resolution.
4. Contacting and working with schools, when required, to determine the accuracy of records they send via the live data feed.
5. Analysing the causes of data quality issues through the cleansing process, sharing these with the project team.
Requirements:
1. Local Government experience required for initial shortlisting, then thereafter at the client’s discretion.
2. Significant experience of working in health, social care or education environment and working in partnership with children, young people and their families, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disability.
3. Good knowledge of all relevant current legislation e.g. SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act.
4. Experience working with data, including ensuring the integrity of the data and cleaning bad data.
