About Your New Job
We are looking for a Senior Technical Underwriter to support the Pricing, Underwriting & Customer Analytics Department. In this role, you will help implement underwriting standards aligned with their risk appetite across commercial property and casualty classes. Your responsibilities will include:
* Practice strong stakeholder management skills to build relationships across the organisation
* Process improvement - use your analysis skillset to make recommendations
* Develop underwriting standards and question sets to optimize risk selection and customer experience.
* Set and continuously review risk appetite for commercial property and casualty classes.
* Grow into a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects
* Uphold high standard of compliance
What Skills You Need
* In-depth knowledge of the insurance market.
* CIP qualification (essential)
* Proven success in technical underwriting with a focus on professional standards.
* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and numerical reasoning capabilities.
* Experience in teamwork and project delivery.
* Exceptional relationship management and ability to build long-term connections.
* Skilled in making decisions on complex technical underwriting scenarios.
