About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team focused on projects currently in the Liverpool area, reporting to the Project Manager for the Major Projects business.
This position could be suited for an adaptable, methodical, and tenacious person that is looking to utilize their technical and project management skills in a new career.
Responsibilities
* Prepare Prysmian Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) or review the subcontractor’s documents.
* Organize Lift Plan for lifts being undertaken by Prysmian or review the subcontractor’s documents.
* Undertake daily risk assessments.
* Issue permits to Prysmian or the subcontractor’s operatives for high-risk activities (e.g., excavation, working at height, etc.).
* Undertake regular Sensible Monitoring.
* Witness all operations, inspections, or tests required by the ITP, confirm they are being undertaken in line with the procedure and criteria stated, and ensure a copy of the required record is taken.
* Where required, formally invite the client to the witness location using an Inspection Notification form.
* Complete a Non-Conformance Report for all non-conformance encountered during the course of the work.
* Create and maintain a snagging list summarizing the outstanding items needing rectifying.
* Before work starts, prepare a report on the condition of the work surrounding area. Ensure reinstatement is done to the standard recorded on the condition report or better.
* Attend all trial holes undertaken and review the associated report.
* Prepare a site diary daily.
* Take photos daily of work (even if work is not progressing).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Ideally hold previous experience in a construction or energy industry environment, with a sound understanding of construction or civil engineering matters.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
* Educated to a HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, however not essential.
* High level of computer literacy.
* Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
* A driving license is essential.
