Overview
A technical 'expert' position requiring a good knowledge and understanding of chemical dosing systems and controls; and of client and customer control system requirements and specifications as used in the water utility and process industries.
The Commissioning Engineer will lead the development of control systems capability in accordance with the strategic plan of the business and safely commission chemical dosing systems in accordance QA and commissioning plans.
Duties & responsibilities
Prepares dosing system Functional Design Specifications (FDS) from project specifications, P&IDs and User Requirement Specifications (URS)
Analyses dosing systems drawings and specifications including P&IDs, FDS, wiring diagrams and equipment specifications.
Specifies and assists in the preparation of QA and testing plans for system build and installation including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Produces innovative designs respecting in house and client requirements including client system integration where appropriate.
Writes and modifies control software and user interface graphics/HMIs.
