About us - The information officers work as part of the wider Family Information Service. At the heart of service delivery to family and childcare services, we deliver information, advice, and guidance as part of the Family Hubs & Starting Life Well service, offering advice and support to early years, childcare, and families to ensure they find the right service for them.
About the Role The role is a front-facing position offering information and signposting families to the best support available. The role will be based across the family hub and community network, becoming a vital part of the service delivery.
About you - We are looking to appoint a colleague who is an approachable, friendly, and supportive individual with the ability to work on their own initiative. You will have the ability to provide information, advice, and guidance to parents, carers, and providers regarding the Family Information Service.
You will be able to establish and maintain links with childcare and community service providers to ensure that data is updated in accordance with statutory duties.
You will support the team with the maintenance of the management information system, ensuring quality is maintained and timescales are met.
You will develop, implement, and maintain high-quality information and self-help sections for parents, carers, and childcare providers on the appropriate digital platforms (webpages, directory & social media).
You will work closely with corporate and other partners in sharing information to ensure that appropriate information on services is available on the corporate service directory, childcare search site, and intranet.
Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check, currently £21.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £5.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £21.50.
