IT Engineer, Hitchin, £35-40K
Onsite 5 days per week (Mon-Fri)
My client based in Hitchin are looking for an experienced IT support candidate to join their internal team
Key duties:
Manage all user queries to completion and to acceptable time scale
Escalate problematic user queries to the IT manager and work with him to resolve
Liaise with third party support providers to resolve any user queries
Ensure relevant software is installed, licensed, up to date and available to appropriate users in a timely manner
Office 365 Administration of user accounts and permissions
Monitor patch management, Network and Wi-Fi logs, investigate and repair any failures
Configure and setup workstations to the company specifications.
Configure and support routers and access points.
To be successful in this role, you need to have at least 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role, preferably with a good understanding of networking. You also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a customer-oriented attitude. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and be willing to learn new skills and technologies.
Working in an IT support (Windows) environment is essential.
Have experience with Microsoft technologies: 365, AD/Server OS, networking, IP connectivity and backup solutions.
You must drive, a company car will be provided.
