Primary School Site Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time (Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate)
Location: Salford, M27
Working Hours: Split shift, 7:00-10:00 AM and 13:45-18:00 PM, Monday to Friday (36 hours per week)
Start Date: 06/01/2024
We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Site Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security, safety, and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.
Day to day responsibilities:
1. Opening and closing the school premises, including setting and disarming security systems.
2. Conducting regular security checks and maintaining a log of any incidents or breaches.
3. Overseeing the cleaning team to ensure the school is well-maintained and presentable.
4. Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and liaising with contractors for more significant repairs.
5. Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the school.
6. Managing the maintenance of school grounds, including gardening and litter control.
7. Setting up facilities for school events and meetings as required.
8. Responding to emergency situations promptly and following emergency procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
2. Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
3. Basic DIY skills for minor repair work.
4. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Reliable and punctual with a responsible attitude towards the security and maintenance of the school premises.
7. Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
