Job Description
Our Global Corporate Trust team provides trustee and agency services to market participants, including financial institutions, corporates, lenders and their advisers. We provide trust and agency services across the spectrum of debt capital market and loan market products, and our extensive range of service functions include account bank, agent bank, collateral administrator, custodian, escrow agent, facility agent, paying agent, security agent and trustee, successor trustee and transfer agent.
We are currently hiring for a KYC Analyst to join the team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis with a start date of the 2nd January 2024.
Responsible for the onboarding of clients in a Trust unit within the organization to meet unit and divisional objectives. Must adhere to unit policies, procedures, and training initiatives to comply with Companies AML, KYC and Sanctions Obligations. Will serve as an expert resource for onboarding, customer due diligence and deal handover. Involvement with ongoing additional projects, including but not limited to remediation projects and developing the Companies e-KYC system.
Analyzes, extracts and interprets data and information from corporate trust source documents in order to establish accurate account set-ups on all appropriate bank systems based on Relationship Manager direction. Provide responsive and appropriate service regarding all aspects of post-closing account maintenance and special projects related to ongoing client and team support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Responsibility for managing the Onboarding (Primarily KYC) of all Corporate Trust transactions that are reviewed and closed in the Relationship Management team.
* Co-ordination of the due diligence process prior to being presented to the Corporate Trust Risk team for approval.
* Identifies business risks and operational challenges and takes steps to mitigate risk and enhance operating systems and processes.
* Knows the customers in the market, understands and responds to needs and expectations of customers, establishes effective working relationships with internal and external customers, resolves problems quickly and effectively and identifies opportunities for improvements.
* Maintains a high level of current knowledge of European Regulation associated with Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence and Sanctions. Understands and complies with all U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures and all applicable government regulations.
* Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures.
* Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows and executes on account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
* Determine information needs and extract information from source documents which may involve reading and analyzing complex legal documents.
* Provide a front-to-back service across all stages of Onboarding – involvement from bidding process until account opening. Also provides ancillary support and appropriate service regarding all aspects of post-closing account maintenance and special projects related to ongoing client and team support.

Experience and required skills:
* 2-3 years previous KYC/Onboarding experience essential.
* Working knowledge of finance and/or banking.
* Requires knowledge of various corporate customer types (such as regulated financial institutions, special purpose financial vehicles, listed companies and/or funds).
* Requires the ability to determine information needs and extract required information from multiple source documents.
* Must possess strong and accurate data entry skills, reading and comprehension skills.
* Needs to have robust written and oral communication skills to interact with internal and external parties via email, in-person and by phone.
* Computer literacy is required.
