Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor, currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety and Environmental professional as they look to recruit a Facilities & Performance Co-Ordinator for their site in Worcester.
As a Facilities & Performance Co-Ordinator, you will help ensure the depot is a safe and enjoyable place to work by administering key health and safety and environmental processes and coordinating building maintenance activities.
Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will be expected to administer Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental processes required for the depot to operate in accordance with legal and company standards. Moreover, you will ensure the depot facilities are legal and compliant in coordination with the management team and Regional Facilities Manager.
Key Accountabilities as Facilities & Performance Co-Ordinator:
1. Facilitate the completion of all facilities and building-related jobs on site.
2. Be a key support for the depot in keeping their facilities and processes legally compliant, with support from depot management and regional QHSE team.
3. Be the first point of contact for third-party contractors while on site, e.g. pest control, waste, and environmental contractors.
4. Ensure all routine checks are completed across a daily to monthly cycle, making sure the site is up to date with all health and safety procedures including fire, emergency lighting, legionella, asbestos, and cleaning schedules.
5. Support the depot in passing internal and external audits, keeping track of any corrective actions that arise.
6. Help ensure all employees on site are up to date with their training requirements via the e-learning management system.
7. Support depot reporting and investigation of incidents and coordinate appropriate documentation.
8. Provide guidance to the management team to comply with internal and external audits and close out requirements after audit with the support of the appropriate support departments.
9. Liaise and monitor facilities contractors while they are on site, ensuring any actions resulting are completed.
The Ideal Candidate for Facilities & Performance Co-Ordinator:
1. Good knowledge of operational processes and standards, and how these are applied practically.
2. Knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental Management, and Food Standards.
3. Able to communicate effectively with a range of colleagues in the depot up to senior management as well as external professionals.
4. A positive approach to work, able to work well independently and use initiative to identify solutions to areas of non-compliance.
5. Effective communicator with the ability to persuade and influence senior management.
6. IT literate – Microsoft Office applications.
