Are you a skilled CNC Setter/Operator looking for your next challenge? Are you ready for a hands-on role in heavy engineering? Our client based in Lincoln is on the lookout for someone who knows their way around a 5-axis CNC machine, ideally with experience in Siemen controls. If you enjoy milling, drilling, and turning to tight tolerances, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Setting and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision-engineering components.
2. Using Siemen controls to adjust settings and applying any programming skills.
3. Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure every part meets exact standards.
4. Performing precision tasks such as milling, drilling, and turning on heavy-duty components.
5. Conducting quality checks with tools like micrometres and callipers.
What we’re looking for:
1. Hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC machines (Siemen control systems experience preferred).
2. Basic CNC programming skills to tweak and optimise machine processes is preferred.
3. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail.
4. A proactive problem-solver who’s comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop environment.
5. Formal Qualifications are preferred, ideally Level 1 as a minimum – must have a knowledge of health and safety and be able to read from drawings.

1. Hours: Monday to Friday Days Initially 7am to 3:30pm, with some lates 3:30pm to 2am with shift allowance.
