Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated clinician to join our dynamic inpatient transformation team in Acute Mental Health Services. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced psychologist, occupational therapist, nurse, or social worker with a passion for improving patient care and service delivery.

Main duties of the job
About the Role: As a Band 7 clinician, you will be central to the exciting work of improving the quality of care for patients with complex emotional needs. We know how much of an impact an admission can have on someone's sense of themselves and hope for the future; and want to find innovative ways to offer care in our inpatient settings, that contributes to someone's recovery and progress.
Your key responsibility will be to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions like SAFTI - Self Accessed Flexible Treatment Intervention, the 52-hour protocol and Trusted Assessor Approach. You will work closely with the Inpatient Psychological Therapies Professional Lead in the Adult Mental Health Directorate and will be overseen by the Inpatient Transformation Programme and the Complex Emotional Needs Quality Improvement Board. We particularly want to advance co-production, in-line with the Personalised Care Framework and DPT Together strategy; and therefore you will work closely with a Senior Peer Support Worker, bringing valuable lived experience of using inpatient services, which is integral to shaping the care we provide. You'll have the chance to collaborate with the inpatient transformation team, with access to support including Quality Improvement (QI), Programme Management Office (PMO), and administrative support. This work sits alongside improvements being made in the community teams, which will also need to be aligned.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol. or equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society and registered with HCPC. Psychological Therapists need to be trained to Masters level or equivalent in a specific psychological therapy and registered with an appropriate recognised professional body e.g. UKCP, BABCP OR a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with HCPC, OR a qualified Mental Health Nurse registered with RCN or a qualified Social Worker registered with BASW.
* Further training or experience in clinical specialism.
* Further training in related area.
* Further training in at least one (other) psychological therapy.
Experience
* Experience of working under supervision in secondary care adult mental health services.
* Experience of working closely with the CEN patient group.
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a wide range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
