We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Library Services team as a Learning Technology Officer at our Glasgow city centre campus.
As Learning Technology Officer (Library Technology), you will play a key role in the support, administration, and training for our Library Services systems including our Reading and Resource List system and Library Management System. You will carry out routine systems tasks and liaise with staff and external vendors to enhance and troubleshoot these systems.
You will support staff in producing accessible content for use on Library Services platforms such as reading and resource list and digital dissertation collection, FAQ and helpdesk software, and Canvas (Learning Management System).
As part of this role, you will contribute to the delivery of Library Services workshops for students on various software packages and tools available at GSA. You will also be expected to spend some time on our popular Learning Technology Helpdesk which is located in the Garnethill campus Library.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a related discipline (or equivalent) with previous relevant experience preferably within Higher or Further Education. You will also have a sound understanding of the use of technology in libraries. In addition, you should have experience of developing and delivering training and workshops on software and online learning tools. You will be equipped with excellent time management and communication skills, and you will have the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring attention to detail as well as being able to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner.
