Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant – Levenshulme Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time role begins in October and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance. The role offers competitive weekly pay of £419.25 - £500. Role Overview: As a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the Humanities department, contributing to the delivery of History, Geography, and Religious Studies lessons. This role is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in education, providing valuable experience in a dynamic school environment. Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist Humanities teachers in delivering engaging and informative lessons. Your role will involve working with students to ensure they understand key concepts across the Humanities subjects. Targeted Support: Provide additional help to students who may need extra assistance, whether through one-on-one sessions or small group work. Your support will help students improve their understanding and academic performance. Resource Development: Aid in the creation and preparation of teaching materials, such as worksheets, presentations, and interactive activities that make lessons more engaging and accessible to all students. Student Engagement: Encourage a love for the Humanities by helping to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support students in developing their critical thinking and analytical skills. Assessment Assistance: Help with marking and assessing student work, providing feedback that aids their academic growth. Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and identify those who may benefit from additional support. Exam Preparation: Assist students in preparing for their Humanities exams, offering revision sessions, study tips, and guidance on how to approach different types of exam questions. Ideal Candidate: A recent graduate with a degree in a Humanities-related subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies). Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable way. Passionate about the Humanities and committed to helping students achieve their best. Patient, adaptable, and empathetic, with a desire to work with young people. Previous experience in education or working with students is advantageous but not essential.
