Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
* Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
* Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
* Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
* Control PPE stock levels
* Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
* Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
* Use Microsoft Projects to prepare, update and maintain work programs and order materials in coherence with the build program
* Read bills, and schedule take offs from site drawings
* Maintain and update the purchase order log
* Maintain and update comparison workbooks
* Add tender codes to purchase orders, purchase order workbook, and invoices
