As an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner, you'll play a key role in our Mental Health Support Team (MHST), collaborating with schools and education settings to deliver innovative interventions. Main duties of the job

We are seeking a passionate individual with a strong foundation in mental health and emotional wellbeing support. You'll hold a BTEC higher diploma, foundation degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field, with at least one year of post-qualification experience working with children, young people, and families. We're also hoping that you have the following:
* Knowledge of child development, behaviours, and mental health challenges.
* Familiarity with safeguarding legislation, confidentiality, consent, mental capacity, and data protection guidelines.
* Confident delivering mental health advice and engaging diverse audiences with excellent communication skills.
* Be highly organised, computer-literate, and able to thrive in dynamic environments.
* Access to transport for commuting between community venues; education setting experience is essential.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BTEC higher diploma or foundation degree in relevant field or equivalent skills/knowledge and experience.
Experience
* Minimum of one year of post qualification experience of working with children, young people and families.
* Delivery of mental health/wellbeing advice and support to children, young people and their families.
