Job overview
Ward 230 are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative band 5 staff nurses to join our team. We are a 36 bedded ward specialising in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Our workforce model focuses on providing safe and effective patient care and developing skills and leadership within the nursing team. Our Clinical Educator for Gastroenterology will support you fully in developing the skills required in this specialty, alongside the rest of the team who will offer excellent support and training.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for assessing and caring for patients and providing an effective care pathway specific to the individual needs of the patient. Main duties will include caring for the acutely unwell patient and utilising essential skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, catheterisation, and drug administration including blood products. We are committed to developing a culture in line with the Trust values that will improve quality and enhance the patients' experience. You will be encouraged to play a part in developing new ways of working to achieve this goal.
