There is an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Chesterfield Core Therapy Team.
Our Core service provides community care using a multi-disciplinary approach to support patients with a wide range of conditions in their own homes.
The successful applicant will need to work individually and as part of a team. Candidates must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, have the ability to work on their own initiative, and be effective team workers.

You will need to effectively engage with your patients, peer groups, and service users in all elements of your role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and caring culture. This will require an inclusive, transparent, and open approach to your role, where you are accountable to others and willing to go the extra mile when required.

As a key person in the directorate, you will act as a role model, be inspirational, dynamic, and courageous. The opportunity to develop advanced skills across a variety of settings is available, and the right candidate can expect to be supported and coached within these roles. Newly qualified practitioners are welcome to apply for this post. DCHS provides a preceptorship programme for newly-qualified staff and is committed to investing in both clinical and leadership development through regular appraisal and supervision.
This post is appropriate for newly qualified Occupational Therapists as extensive preceptorship and mentoring are available.

During the pandemic response, we led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
