Primary Teaching Assistant – English as an Additional Language (EAL) (Farnworth) (Bolton) (BL4) A primary school in Farnworth, Bolton are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with and support their students with EAL needs in the classroom. The position will be full time commencing in January and will be for the rest of the academic year, with the school looking to take on permanently to work with the child throughout their school life. Roles and responsibilities: Translation and interpretation support for an EAL student in the classroom alongside regular teachers delivering lessons. Providing general classroom and 1:1 support Providing academic intervention and pastoral support meetings to promote inclusion. Developing EAL students’ key skills and English language skills by the use of workshops and out of class programmes.
