Role Overview: As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your expertise. You will inspire students to develop a love for Science, foster critical thinking, and support their academic achievement. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to diverse learning needs. Teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics to a high standard, ensuring student engagement and progress. Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress and attainment. Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and respect. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities. Requirements: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. A degree in Science or a related subject. Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4 essential, KS5 desirable). Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.
