Hours: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (would consider 2 part-time positions)
Annual Leave: 42 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
As our English Lecturer, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, teaching, motivating, and supporting young people to maximize their potential.

Responsibilities of our English Lecturer:
* Deliver teaching and learning across a range of qualification types, ensuring stretch, challenge, and engagement of learners.
* Plan and prepare lessons and contribute to all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans, online resources, etc.
* Mark learners' work, providing meaningful feedback on how improvements can be made.
* Maintain accurate records and monitor learner attendance and progress, planning additional support when required.
* Fully engage with the quality assurance processes within the curriculum area.
* Attend team meetings and communicate with colleagues, sharing good practice within the curriculum area and the wider college when required.
* Represent the college at parent evenings, taster days, open days, careers, and other educational events.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject specialism by engaging with appropriate professional development.
What we’re looking for in our English Lecturer:
* Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in English
* Previous experience of teaching English
* Experience of working with a wide range of students
* Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work with students of all ages in classroom, workshop, and one-to-one situations, including students from Hull College School.
