Pastoral Care Manager sought a well-established Secondary School in the rural location of Devizes. Based on a full-time, year-long, permanent basis, this position offers an annual salary up to £42708 plus a range of exceptional employee benefits. As a Pastoral Care Manager, you will be responsible for supporting vulnerable student groups, specifically SEND, PP, and LAC. You will be managing, monitoring, and handling student behaviour, attendance, and the general welfare of all students. Remaining calm, approachable, and diplomatic when faced with sensitive situations is key and you will consistently adhere to a strict confidentiality policy with all concerned. Additionally, you will be required to attend parent and guardian meetings, be responsible for coordinating Pastoral Support Plans, and CAF/TAC meetings, contribute to underperforming students, monitor their progress, assisting with all communication, whilst setting and confirming ideal targets and outcomes.
A huge part of your role will be spent consulting with Heads of Year to support specific focus groups, producing relevant information, assisting with report writing, and continuing communication with those involved in the wider process. You will have advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required for all communication, for the arranging of meetings, and production of internal correspondence.
The Ideal candidate will be able to evidence an excellent standard of education and safeguarding practice knowledge and skills when supporting secondary-aged students, having experience in the management of isolations and inclusions. This role will highlight your expertise in child safeguarding and education, having ‘A’ Level education and certification in safeguarding.
