Bishopstoke Park, are looking to appoint an experienced:
Part Time Driver to join our team.
Total hours per month will be contracted to 106.26hrs.
£12.00 per hour.
Shifts will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am-3.30pm including an unpaid 30min break (5.5hours per working shift). There will one Wednesday and one Saturday per month within the shift pattern, this will be discussed with the applicant at interview.
This is an all-year-round post, you will be working in all weathers. You will have previous driver experience. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities will include:
• To drive residents from the retirement village safely to their destination
• Planning the shortest and best routes to the destination
• Checking vehicles before shift starts and when the shift has finished.
• Driving in all kinds of weather conditions
• Have a good knowledge of the Eastleigh, Bishopstoke and surrounding area.
• On big trip days find out the best route and parking facilities available.
Required knowledge & experience:
• An ability to concentrate, ensuring road safety. • Knowledge of the area to know which back roads to take when necessary.
• A clean driving record and a ’s licence
• Good customer skills to keep clients happy and retain them.
• Being able to work well independently.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure, for instance, when driving in bad weather conditions • Good communication skills to follow instructions, work with colleagues and deal with clients. • Good eyesight
Required skills:
• Well organised and able to plan workload.
• Strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.
• Able to work individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to undertake a wide range of activities.
Set in the parish of Bishopstoke within historic county of Hampshire. We are located within a beautiful natural woodland, not far from the Itchen Navigation.
