Learning Support Assistant
Contract type: Permanent/Full time
Hours: 40 hours per week (35 hours per week + 5 hours paid lunch)
Salary: £23,795 per annum
Location: Nacro Education Centre - Sheffield

Who are we looking for?
We are in search of a Learning Support Assistant to join our Education Centre based in Sheffield. The role is to assist and support teaching staff delivering a broad spectrum of academic and vocational subject areas within the classroom and around the centre.
What will I be doing as a Learning Support Assistant?
A Learning Support Assistant plays a critical role in creating a positive learning environment to support learners in achieving their goals. You will ensure that learners receive high-quality support to enable them to make good progress from their starting points.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
* Identify and maintain focus on achievement of desired outcomes for learners across all subject areas.
* Have a good understanding of all learners' needs, including LDD/SEND and supportive strategies.
* Actively engage and motivate learners in decisions that affect them.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on progress of learners against targets set.
* Develop relationships and liaise with appropriate external agencies in support of learners' needs.
Requirements for this role:
* Previous experience in supporting young people in an education setting is desirable.
* Experience of working with LLDD students with SEN is desirable.
* L2 English & Maths is essential.
* An Enhanced with Barred Lists DBS check is essential.
