Ipswich Borough Council is looking for a talented and passionate IT Project Manager to join our busy ICT Team in Ipswich. We want you to help us use technology to improve lives and deliver better services to our community.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage key ICT projects. Our current workload includes reviewing/replacing our ERP Finance and HR systems, modernizing our website estate and implementing numerous process automations.
You’ll be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and planning to implementation and closure. This includes:
Managing project scope, timelines, and budgets
Gathering and interpreting technical requirements
Leading and motivating project teams
Managing stakeholder relationships
Ensuring projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits
We’re looking for someone who is driven, proactive, and passionate about delivering results. You should have:
A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Significant experience managing complex ICT projects
A strong understanding of project management methodologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in managing organizational change and supporting people through process improvements
A customer-focused and responsive approach that improves service delivery
