We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to work in a home for children and young people with complex needs in Erdington.
The home is run by a fantastic organisation with a clear vision for the young people in their care, transparent plans for progression and professional development for all members of staff. As Deputy Manager, you will be working closely with the Registered Manager to support your development.

What The Post Requires
* A minimum of 2 years experience working with children and young people in residential childcare
* At least 1 year supervisory experience with staff in a children’s home
* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce/Residential Childcare plus Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or working towards or a willingness to undertake this
* Extensive knowledge around working with children and young people with challenging behaviour

Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to children.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those with special requirements.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation.
* Foster positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote well-being and development.
* Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for staff to enhance care quality.

Pay: £33,000-£38,000 per year
