We have an excellent opportunity for a Part Time Property Administrator / General Manager to join an expanding and market-leading Property Investment Firm in Cardiff, developing strong relationships with Estate Agents and Building Contractors to ensure the delivery of the best and most efficient service possible.
About the company: Our client is one of the UK’s leading Property Investment Firms, funding and coordinating residential and commercial building projects.
About the role: As a Part Time Property Administrator / General Manager, you will assist with:
* Dealing with estate agents to find new tenants
* Arranging maintenance works with contractors
* Handling licenses to occupy, leases, and negotiating leasing terms
* Ensuring properties are well maintained
* Managing dilapidations
* Addressing issues involving contractors and civil litigation
* Working with the Building Project Manager / Architect to ensure contractor adherence to contracts
* Assisting Accountants with auditing, VAT bookkeeping, and accounts payable
* Providing administrative support to the MD or his nominee, including cover for colleagues
* Dealing with insurance companies/brokers for property insurances
About you: The ideal candidate must have / be:
* Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Sage accounts software is desirable
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* A dynamic and structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making
* Self-motivated and flexible work approach
* A strong desire to learn and develop skills
* Well-organized with excellent communication skills at all levels
* Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines from MD
* Full UK driving license
* University degree (desirable)
* Legal experience in the Property Sector (desirable)
* Post-probation, ability to manage and control all business affairs independently
* Ability to buy, develop, and sell properties
Rewards and hours: The role involves working 4 hours daily / 20 hours weekly, with potential to extend into full-time. The salary ranges from approximately £25,000 to £50,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), depending on experience. Salary and incentives will be negotiated after the first year, with potential for upward adjustment based on performance.
