Omega are the leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality kitchens to the new build contract developer market across the UK.
Within our purpose built state of the art head office based in Thorne, Doncaster, we have a 400,000sq ft plant comprising of our manufacturing, warehousing and office facilities. A recent investment of £20m set us up for continued growth into the future, introducing a new warehouse, re-mapping the assembly route and investing in our people.
We have 5 core brands which are Novus, Sheraton, Mackintosh, Chippendale and English Rose. We manufacture a made to order true rigid kitchen which is glue and dowel, along with a ready to assemble option for our customers.
We continually invest in NPD, the most recent new range introduction in 2023 saw the launch of Novus, representing Omega's commitment to innovative solutions with a focus on a handleless system and a sleek minimalist design for contemporary kitchens. We have invested in further NPD in 2024 to ensure we are offering the latest trends to our customers.
About the Role
This role will play a key part in our strategy to increase our market share in the contracts market in the UK. You will be managing existing relationships along with prospecting for new opportunities in our chosen market segments within the national, regional and major project sectors.
Main responsibilities
* Develop your area sales plan in line with our 3-year strategy.
* Develop monthly and quarterly plans in line with sales forecast.
* Spend a high proportion of time on the road visiting new and existing customers developing relationships face to face.
* Promote and secure factory and showroom visits to showcase the business and products.
* Target prospect customers using an agreed analytical approach to determine the level of attractiveness to Omega, utilising Glenigans and other social media platforms.
* Use customer relationship management system to maintain up to date and accurate customer account information.
* Develop a sound technical understanding of all Omega products and services to support the sales process.
* Work closely with the business to develop improved commercial solutions which will deliver sales and improve operating profit, negotiating and renegotiating deals to successful conclusion.
* Build and develop relationships with existing and new customers and inform them about new developments in the Company’s products.
* Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
* Work with the Marketing team to plan and oversee new marketing initiatives including the development of marketing literature in support of business expansion.
* Work with Contracts design team to ensure design requirements are met and exceeded, and own the tender process from initial stages through to placement of order.
* Maintain and develop detailed understanding of competitors.
* Any other duties as may be required.

* Kitchen knowledge (Desirable not essential).
* A strong prospector to drive new business opportunities.

* ‘Finger on the pulse’ knowledge of industry developments.
* Ability to build long term relationships.
* Experience of handling a sales budget more than £1million.
* Systematic networker.
* IT literate, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise.
