Your newpany is a general building contractor that constructs private and public sector projects for their exclusive client base within the Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset area. They have been awarded a twelve-month project valuing £ million on a luxury detached residential project to upgrade an existing Edwardian traditional brick seven-bedroom house. The projectmences on 11th March 2024 and consists of the demolition of some of the existing structures to enable the er ection of part single-storey side and part two-storey side and rear extension. Our customer's profile is that they are an SME family run general building contractor that operate as a principal contractor with a number of high-profile customers within themercial, education and high luxury residential sectors.
Your new role is to act as the number one on site and perform Site Manager duties on behalf of your employer. You will have full managerial responsibility of running the site and your duties and responsibilities would be to perform inductions, implement risk assessment and method statements, control subcontractors, read and interpret drawings provided by the architect and interior designer, chair progress meetings, be responsible for site health and safety, quality control, practicalpletion, internal and external inspections. You will be IT literate, proficient with MS Office Suite and you will use the Procore Portal Based System as a site diary and programmer database. You will be provided with a working laptop, a cabin and a working office.
What you'll need to succeed is extensive experience of building or refurbishing high-specification traditional UK residential houses plus holding an SMSTS,First Aid and CSCS. You will be able to work on your own initiative, be enthusiastic and befortable reporting remotely to your project manager at head office. You will have excellentmunication skills, be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite and be capable of solving problems ranging from demolition, foundation, structural, roofing, masonry and fit out works of houses in the UK.
What you'll get in return is a fixed term contract of 6–12 months paying a PAYE salary of £50,000-£55,000. On successfulpletion, your employment could be extended to a permanent role subject to additional jobs being awarded in the Surrey area. In addition to the salary, you will be offered holiday pay and pension, but no car or car allowance.
