With a strong reputation for reliability, skill, and innovation, they are now looking to expand their team with a skilled Construction Estimator to support the growth of their diverse project portfolio. Role Overview: As a Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, helping the business secure new contracts by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for both residential and commercial projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure the company continues to deliver projects that meet client expectations and align with budgets. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial, and social housing projects. Analyse project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary pricing information. Conduct site visits and work with the project team to assess project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed tenders and submit bids for upcoming projects. Track and monitor project costs to ensure compliance with budgets. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Ensure compliance with company standards Assist with negotiating and finalising contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors. Provide support during project delivery by advising on cost implications of design changes or site conditions. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, ideally within the residential sector. Strong understanding of building methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent numeracy and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data. Good knowledge of cost management and budget control. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. A relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
