Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the financial and contractual aspects of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects, ensuring budgets are met and value is delivered.
2. Oversee cost planning, tendering, and procurement processes for projects across the Education, Industrial, Public Sector, and Commercial sectors.
3. Prepare accurate valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts in line with project milestones.
4. Identify and manage variations, ensuring they are communicated and resolved efficiently.
5. Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure financial control and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
6. Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to project stakeholders, ensuring financial performance aligns with project goals.
7. Negotiate contracts, manage risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
8. Support the team in delivering projects on time and within budget, fostering strong client relationships.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in the Education, Industrial, Public Sector, and Commercial sectors.
2. Expertise in managing projects with values ranging from £1 million to £42 million.
3. Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems and their associated costs.
4. Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.
5. Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, including JCT and NEC.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and project teams.
7. Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems.
