The Governors of this highly successful and over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic leader to our Science Department. The successful candidate will be a person who is excited about the opportunity to share their passion for Science and has experience of teaching in a British secondary school.
St Gregory’s has been identified by OFSTED in March 2019 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice; by the DfE as a National Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate initiative and will have the energy and skills to inspire colleagues with their passion for their subject and inspire learning across the curriculum. You will be an effective team player with the focus to ensure successful outcomes within the department. Science is a very successful subject at St Gregory’s with a Physics Progress 8 score in 2024 of +1.37 (school performance tables). The school is firmly committed to CPD and promotes opportunities for improving subject knowledge and pedagogy as well as career development within the school.
