Position Overview:
We are seeking talented carpenters to facilitate in delivering a long-term refurbishment contract within commercial properties.
We are looking for new operatives to join our current team, carrying out installations for a long-term contract within England and Wales.
You would be working alongside our existing teams and enjoy full onsite support.
You'll also be able to read and interpret designs, liaise with suppliers, follow refurbishment project scopes of work and programs, whilst potentially sourcing site materials from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely set up sites and work within Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Asbestos Awareness, Working from Height and First Aid certificates are essential; however training can be arranged to suitable candidates.
• Measurements & Site Preparation: Accurately measure and prepare sites.
• Cabinetry & Installation: Prepare cabinetry for kitchens, hospitals and dental practices, including installing handles, locks, and hinges, skirting boards, architrave, doors, framing etc
• Ideally experience in hanging fire doors, and associated ironmongery will be a distinct advantage, as would experience in fire compartmentation.
• Quality Assurance: Evaluate materials for defects and ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
• Design Interpretation: Read and interpret designs to meet the specifications set by the client.
• Proficiency in using a variety of power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders, as well as hand tools essential for carpentry work.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and joinery methods, with an emphasis on quality and durability.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Experience with masonry work will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating awareness of programs and working with other trades

• Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, along with your contribution and the effect on over running.
• The role may also involve minor work with joists and roofing, some exterior work for signage subframes and shopfronts.
Requirements:

• City & Guilds Level 2 Site Carpentry or NVQ level 2 equivalent
• Proven experience as a Carpenter/Joiner or in a similar role within the construction or property management industry.
• Relevant CSCS in your skill set is a distinct advantage.
• Clean Full UK driving licence
• Have the right to work in the UK
