Job summary Working Full Time: 37.5 Hours Per Week A multi-faceted systems administration and support role working within the team to provide support for the on-going management and development of the Hospitals general Infrastructure. Working within the Senior Infrastructure Specialist Team, the role requires systems management, administration and support for all backend infrastructure services, used throughout the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust and Ellesmere Port Hospital. This is very much both a technical and customer services role requiring development, planning and technical support (both proactive and reactive) skills. It will involve daily liaison with customers and third-party maintainers as well as supporting and maintaining the Informatics departments systems and supporting other senior infrastructure services. The role will involve providing technical guidance in a wide range of specialist systems to technical and non-technical staff. The role is responsible for ensuring effective monitoring of a wide range of IT systems whilst ensuring a high level of system stability and uptime. In addition, the person, will be responsible for providing detailed analysis of data, designing and producing reports for internal and external review and respond to any other systems related issues or queries. Main duties of the job Operational management of a wide range of infrastructure systems, including system design, configuration and third line technical support. General day to day system support, responding to user problems and enquiries, the set up and installation of software and hardware, implementing software and hardware upgrades, ensuringsystem reliability and undertaking all systems management and administration. To include liaising with 3rd party support suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining system configuration an ensuring all documentation is up to date.
