Our client is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team based at Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford, Nottingham. This is a permanent role offering a hybrid work environment, with three days per week in the office/site and two days from home. The role is available to start as soon as possible. Job Purpose: To lead a team of project managers in the end-to-end coordination and successful delivery of significant and complex highway and civil engineering projects to internal and external clients, aligning with company business plan objectives. Key Responsibilities: Manage resource requirements and capacity within the team to ensure the successful delivery of the team's work programme. Lead end-to-end project management on a range of complex and significant engineering projects, ensuring time, cost, and quality control are met for client and stakeholder requirements. Provide specialist project management expertise in engineering project delivery in compliance with legislation and national/local policies, acting as an expert witness at planning/public inquiries. Ensure full adherence to health, safety, and environmental legislation, policies, and best practices across the team to protect people and the environment. Monitor staff performance, coach, and mentor team members to develop their technical expertise and achieve individual performance targets. Facilitate collaboration across the business for significant projects to maintain workflow, identify resource requirements, and support company objectives for productivity and profit. Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, statutory responsibilities, and policies to maintain a high-quality service. Act as an ambassador for individual schemes and the company at professional, business, and community events to maintain a positive company reputation and build relationships. Job Requirements: Experience in Project Management within the highway and/or civil engineering sector. Significant knowledge of project management principles and best practices. Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation and policies. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience.
